Revlon Colorstay Moisture Stain Review

Did this lip product become a favorite of mine...?

Now if you recall, a couple of months ago there was a lot of buzz about this product in the beauty world. Every blogger and every YouTuber wanted to get their hands on a few of these moisture stains. The beginning rumblings were fairly positive, and then they seemed to be everyone's favorite for some time and silence. I actually got this lip product a couple of months ago as well (probably when they first came out) but I completely forgot to ever review it because I honestly just forgot about the product. Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible. It's just nothing special and I prefer to use a lot of other lippies over this one. There is literally nothing long-lasting about this stain. When I think of a stain, I think of Sephora's Cream Lip Stains and those will not come off your lips until you've used a bit of cleansing oil and broken it off your lips. Marvelous formula, but this Revlon lip stain falls very short of that type of "stain" expectation. I do admit this color is a gem (Barcelona Nights) and the rest of the line does have gorgeous colors. Although many of us do ask our girlfriends if there's lipstick between our teeth (sometimes quite incessantly and continuously) we want them to assure us that there is nothing there. With this formula, I find that color gets everywhere. I think that my oily skin has something to do with it but regardless, this product runs and ends up on my teeth two hours after application. I don't want to constantly double check and triple check to make sure the formula hasn't dripped down to my chin. No one wants that. Sadly, I have to say this is not a staple in my makeup collection and this was a bit of a miss for me personally.

Have you tried any of these moisture stains yet? What were your final thoughts?
