Now let’s get into these six to find out which are needs and which are not good enough for your wallet. First off, I have to say that Too Faced has got it going on with this mascara. Nothing compares to the effect you get with this mascara, and I mean nothing. There is a drugstore mascara that could be considered a dupe, as it’s the closest voluminous effect you’ll get (L’Oreal Miss Manga) which I raved about in my previous edit. The Covergirl mascara is my least favorite of this bunch because it really doesn’t do much for my eyelashes.

I have eyelashes that pretty much go down so adding this to them makes them appear darker while still facing downward. Not a fan Stan! Tarte’s Gifted is definitely up there on my list of mascaras because it gives you that beautiful curl (eyelash curler or not) and it’s got a long-lasting finish that will keep your lashes in place for hours. It also requires less coats which I personally like because it makes taking off the stuff easier at night. L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly is a great mascara if you’re on a budget. It isn’t as long-lasting as Better Than Sex or Gifted, but it’s nice quality and easy to throw into your bag. Even better is Maybelline’s Falsies Big Eyes formula because it’s got two brushes. One for the upper lashes and one for the bottom which is so freakin’ convenient and amazing. This is such an innovative idea and I am in love because the lower lash brush is perfect for not making a mess and overdoing those lower suckers! If you’re in the market for a drugstore mascara, I highly recommend it for its convenience factor along with a great drugstore formula. Maybelline’ Volum Express is similiar to Covergirl’s Lash Perfection because there’s nothing special about it. Its a mascara I picked up while in a jam (ran out during a trip) so I picked it up from a local gas station. Yikes!

Here’s my rating of these six:

1. Too Faced Better Than Sex

2. Maybelline Falsies Big Eyes

3. Tarte Gifted

4. L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly

5. Maybelline Volum Express One-by-One

6. Covergirl Lash Perfection

Something I didn’t mention in my first rendition of this is the fact that different mascaras will have different finishes and different end results for each and every single one of us. Although we are working with the same formula, if my eyelashes face downward I may need something a lot stronger than you because you have perfect curled lashes with or without mascara. It’s important to keep in mind that if a mascara works well for me, it may not be your absolute favorite. Make sense? Now go try more mascara!
