Last week while I was in California, I did catch a bit of a cold. Thankfully it wasn’t the epidemic flu that’s been going around and knocking people off their asses for two weeks. I found a new method of getting through this type of sickness because the combination of these products really helped me get through the motions much quicker.  Here’s the breakdown:

Cold Calm (The LifeSaver) is a homeopathic natural medicine that works with the body at the first sign of sickness (sore throat typically.) Unfortunately I did not learn of this medicine until almost the end of my first sick day, but I still took it as prescribed and I believe that this truly made my sickness go through all of the hoops quickly. You know how a cold makes you go through the throat soreness, one nostril clogged, then the other clogged, then you have the headache, and so on? Well this helped me fast forward through all symptoms so I could just be done with the sickness sooner. You need this!

Airborne (or EmergenC) contains the Vitamin C infusion you need every day, but especially when you’re sick.

Cough drops are a necessity right in the beginning when your throat feels like it’s on fire and just so dry. These are some of my favorites just because they have honey and lemon mixed in.

The nasal decongestant vapor inhaler is great for those stuffed and clogged nostrils. Although you may look a little weird sticking it in your nose, it really helps. I do want to warn you that if your nose is super dry from being blown too often, you may want to take it easy on the inhaler as it can burn those dry areas for a few seconds if you inhale too much too quickly.

Water is an obvious. Drinking fluids and staying extremely hydrated is key to getting better quickly.

Makeup is minimal when I’m sick so I only use concealer, mascara, and a good lip product that will keep my lippie lips moisturized.

Do you take any of these medicines? How much makeup do you wear when you aren’t feeling that great?
