On our drive to Newport, I was intrigued by all of the scenery.
We had a brief meeting with our client and the view, even from their offices, was breath-taking. To the right of this image is the ocean and their bay.
We went to Malt on Broadway for dinner. What a great place!
For appetizers, we had some calamari.
Some cheese balls (I think that's what these were but I'm not 100%)
I had the falafel dish, which was okay. I ate all the fries and a couple of bites of the falafel itself. I was much more a fan of the appetizers. I should have ordered a steak or something more delicious, but I was trying to eat "healthy" and we all know that doesn't really work for me *opps*
This was one of the most delicious drinks ever. I tried to find the menu for this restaurant and it's nowhere to be found so I can't recall the name, but I had to have two of these because it was so darn delicious!
Because the chef knew our clients very well, we ended up getting about twenty desserts delivered to our table. I am not kidding. There was about two desserts per person and there were about ten of us. This was the strawberry shortcake.
Last was ice cream and delicious milk chocolate.
The next day our first stop on the familiarization tour was First Beach.
We stopped quickly at the local Brix brewery.
Next we went to the Redwood Library and Anhenaeum.
PS- we weren't supposed to take pictures and the guide told us after he saw us take a few. Evidently not all of these are owned by the library so photography is not allowed.
Then we were at one of the local inn properties. The Chanler at Cliff Walk.
J and I just looking real suave.
Next we went to another property and we had the best view in the city.
To be fair, my nose does not always look this bad.
She sells seashells by the seashore.
Then we were at the Breakers! We couldn't take any pics outside so we just got a group shot outside of the house before we went in. Our next adventures was right by the ocean.
