In case you haven’t heard, Gwen Stefani collaborated with Urban Decay Cosmetics to create a beautiful eyeshadow palette. The palette is available starting today! The UD team spent countless hours in Gwen’s house, ensuring that the each shadow in this palette was exactly what she wanted. This palette has her name written all over it (literally and figuratively). From the beautiful packaging with the black and white print and antique gold detailing, to the shadow names inspired by her songs and even the eccentric colors placed in the palette, this screams Gwen.
Twelve (12) of these shadows are brand new to UD, with three (3) being classics from the existing collection. Not only are most of the shades new, but they’re so incredibly beautiful and it’s clear that UD went out on a limb to create the perfect palette. The colors are different, and while you may not use a few of the shades, you will likely use more colors than you think.
The formula itself is beautiful, and reminds me of the UD Naked palettes. The shades have a velvety feel, beautiful color and true long-lasting power. They’re also lovely when it comes to blendability, which is something I absolutely need in an eyeshadow. This palette retails for $58. Here’s a breakdown of the shades (descriptions found here):
1 Blonde: pale beige with pink iridescence
2 Bathwater: pale beige with gold pearl
3 Skimp: pale nude satin
4 Steady: medium rose with metallic gold shift
5 Punk: reddish brown matte
