Christmas Gift Guide for the Ladies
When it comes to giving gifts, I am definitely not the best. This holiday season I only wanted to do giveaways over on Instagram for prizes I myself would want to win. $100 Nordstrom gift card, 2 tickets to see Jim Gaffigan, a box of beauty goodies, a box of skincare, and so forth. When it comes to gifts, I like to know the audience. However sometimes you have to guess. Whether it's Secret Santa at work, a family member you don't know well, your significant other (who seems to have everything already)... the list goes on and on. This year I wanted to get a list of items together that I would happily gift to any of my friends, mainly because they fit my style and taste. Of course, the gifts will still vary based on who you are shopping for, but these are items I can 100% recommend.
For someone who enjoys reading, likes checking emails on the go, watching videos on YouTube and having a device smaller than a laptop, I'd highly recommend the new NOOK 10. This is genuinely a wonderful gift for the special someone in your life, and it certainly doesn't break the bank. I can read my favorite novel, check my emails and respond quickly with the keyboard, catch up on my favorite vlogs, and also take notes for my next meeting. Super efficient. It's absolutely perfect for when you're traveling and on the go.
When it comes to clothes, the best place to buy a gift card for literally anyone is Nordstrom. Honestly, all the best clothes come from there and you have so many options. I have never regretted anything I purchased from Nordstrom; I've just wished I got a bigger size, which is an easy fix when returns and exchanges are completely free. Gets most of the pressure off the customer.
The other store I've shopped all year long is Revolve. I can't deny that sometimes the price is high, but I just love the fact that every single piece of clothes sold on their site is cuter than the next. You can't go wrong with any of any of the brands they sell.
A recent addiction of mine is a cute online boutique, which is now the majority of my closet. I found the boutique around Black Friday, and I can't stop buying from them. Someone HOLD me back! If you're shopping for someone under 40, this is the perfect place for everything. Whether it's clothes, accessories, or jewelry, there's a lot of everything ... and it's all so cute!
If your assistant, sister, or very special someone loves luxury, a Gucci bag is always a safe bet. I would caution that you want to know the individual well enough to know that they are interested in a particular bag since it is quite the investment. Buying a random bag without specific insight to colors, sizing, etc could be a very dangerous game, but in all honesty a Gucci bag will be enjoyed.
The other brand I really love when it comes to luxury, is Monica Vinader which is a gorgeous jewelry brand out of the UK. Most of my rings come from her, and I honestly don't take them off. I am just in love with the gorgeous detailing and how versatile the rings are. Not to mention, they come in all sizes, and I love every piece. When it comes to a brand that fits me and my style, this is definitely it. It is a higher price tag, but sometimes you just have to treat yoself OR have your man treat you. It is Christmas after allllll.
The perfect stocking stuffers are always makeup and skincare products. Plus they make or break someone's face so they are definitely important. When it comes to a "must have" overnight or sleeping mask, this new one is giving me serious life. Every skin type would enjoy it, so it's perfect for the stocking! Glow Recipes comes out with the best masks, and this watermelon one is also fantastic. Dr. Dennis Gross is one of my all time favorite skincare brands, and it's perfect to include some peel pads in someone's stocking. This is a skincare product that will transform skin in the new year.
For some reason, women love cute girly things (for the most part.) I fall victim to this. Even though I use my phone for most planning, I love the idea of stationery or a planner. Erin Condren is just such a staple in my life, and I love my planner.
Since I love organization, this gorgeous stand is perfect for the woman who has a lot of jewelry and needs a better way of organizing it. The best liquid lipstick (in a set) is perfect for the lipstick lover in your life.
If you're into the idea of a subscription box, there's a lot of options. Food, makeup, clothes ... well I'd opt for a mix of health and clothes. FabFitFun is a box I've become quite fond of because it has a nice mix of health related items that incorporate beauty and skincare, along with clothes and lifestyle. My winter box had a blanket, a workout tool, a jade roller for my skin and several other products for my hair and face (amongst other things.) It's a great mix of everything making it easy to love and it's customizable for the individual receiving which makes it even better. Using the code ADALETA to sign up will get you $10 off your first box!
A more affordable jewelry brand I love is called Sequin Jewelry. I adore the evil eye emblem and they have so may evil eye designs, making it hard for me to ever pick just one necklace. The 3 strand talisman necklace is my absolute favorite piece from them, and you can really customize the talismans down to specifically what you want on each chain.
When it comes to gifts, you don't have ton place them in a category per say. Usually I like to get items I know my friends will absolutely love. This is why my miscellaneous list is longer than the rest. I just love items I bought or love myself, for my friends. If I like it, chances are they will too! Below I've includes a few of my favorite items from various retailers so you can take a peek.
