4 Ways to Enhance Hair & Body Care

When it comes to hair and body care, there’s a lot of misinformation in the beautysphere. I’m bringing you some tips and tricks I’ve learned about hair in particular, from a trichologist, as well as body care tips that have worked for me over the years.
Wash hair everyday.
This is quite controversial, but according to a trichologist (a professional in hair and scalp care) if you have fine hair, it is ideal to wash everyday. Because your hair is finer, you have more pores on your scalp which automatically means more oils. With the additional oils, hair gets greasy much quicker so ideally you would wash on a daily basis with a gentle shampoo. If your hair is thicker, the trichologist’s recommendation is to wash every other day. None of this once a week washing, with gallons of dry shampoo. That always felt so wrong, but we wanted it to feel right.
Apply body lotion fresh out of the shower.
Just as we do with skincare, applying serums, oils and moisturizers to the face is much more effective when the skin is slightly damp. The same goes for the body making it ideal to moisture skin when it’s fresh out of the shower with a slight dampness. After a nice hot shower or bath, applying moisturizer to that silky fresh skin is ideal.
Apply conditioner to the ends of your hair.
Many people apply conditioner all over their hair, but in reality you want to apply directly to the ends, especially if you find your hair to be overly greasy with product buildup. Applying to the scalp and top of the hair will inadvertently make it greasier and a bit heavier long-term.
Cause less damage by towel-drying hair.
I’ve been a big fan of hair turbans for a while, in particular the hair turban from Aquis. They wrap around the hair so well, and help dry the hair quickly. You know I love a quick solution, because I’m always in a rush and I want things to be efficient. If I have my hair up in the towel for 30-45 minutes, my hair is mostly dry and doesn't need to be blow dried in most cases.
When I searched for hair products containing minerals, the list was fairly short which seemed surprising to me. After reading more about dead sea minerals and those specifically in Ayam products, I was intrigued and decided to dive a little deeper into the understanding of why these products would be so good. For many centuries, it’s been known that the waters of the Dead Sea are famous for their therapeutic properties and healing qualities. Not to mention, they have been used to treat a variety of illnesses and skin conditions.
