5 Minute Makeup for Moms on the Go
Today's post is a takeover from my friend Taylor, who you'll all recognize from my last two girlfriend getaways. She went with me to Scottsdale for my 30th, and she was just at the Hilton El Conquistador with us for the spa weekend. I'm just so happy to have one of my dear friends take over and share a 5 minute makeup routine, especially for busy on the go moms.
Make sure you give her a follow on Instagram and check out her blog!

I also want to tell you a little bit more about Taylor from my personal experience. She is so kind and takes care of everyone around her. She'll never ask for favors, and makes me force her to ask for my help or tell me what she needs. I think this comes from a place of not wanting to inconvenience anyone else (so not my personality type haha!) but she will take care of everyone else and never complain. She is a mom of 2, a beautiful girl named Emma who is 2 1/2, and a very smiley and adorable boy named Noah who is almost 7 months old. Not only is she a rockstar (she can literally whip out anything these 2 need) but she's an incredible wife, friend, sister, etc.

Life with 2 kids under 3 is so beautiful, but also a bit chaotic at times. I found myself getting lost in my new routine which didn’t cater to taking care of myself anymore. I felt like there wasn’t enough time in the day for me to sit down and give myself a fresh face. Something needed to change, so I created a 5 minute makeup routine. I timed it, 5 minutes on the dot. Whether you’re a mom like me and don’t have enough time in the day, or you want to simplify your everyday makeup routine so you can get out the door quicker, this is the routine for you. 5 minutes, 8 products, let’s do this!
Foundation
I go in with my Christian Dior Airflash Spray Foundation. I find that spraying it on a fluffy brush and buffing it the skin is the best way to apply.
Powder
I apply a light layer of the Dior BACKSTAGE Face & Body Powder-No-Powder. My biggest tip is to blend it into the neck, and go all the way down to really make it look super natural.
Eyeshadow
The Morphe 18T Truth or Bare Artistry Palette is my favorite for my eyes right now. I take the lightest color and swipe it over my eyelids. Next I like to take a deeper brown to the outer corners of my eyes for some dimension. Nice and easy.
Brows
A good tinted brow gel goes a long way and Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara is my go-to. It looks really natural and keeps the brow maintenance to just a few seconds.
Highlighter
The Alima Pure Highlighter (in its loose mineral form) my favorite highlighter at the moment. I add it to my cheekbones, the tip of my nose and to the middle of my top lip.
Bronzer
I blend a light layer of bronzer right under my cheekbones for a defined look. Sometimes I run it alongs the sides of the face to give it a bit more of a sun-kissed glow all over but I always reach for the Essence Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder because it gives a beautiful warm bronze to my skin.
Blush
I have been using the Pixi +C Vit Glow-y Powder on my cheeks for a very natural look. It can double down as a blush, but also looks beautiful over more of the skin again adding a bit more of a sun-kissed color.
Mascara
In my opinion, a light layer of mascara makes a huge difference. I do just a few coats (nothing dramatic) and I reach for the Maybelline Lash Sensational Sky High Mascara.
Lips
Lipstick is my favorite. It pulls together an entire look. The Dior Addict Lip Glow is my ride or die at the moment, and it's lightweight (while also being hydrating). Did I mention it's perfect for spring?
Sometimes finding the time to do something for yourself can be difficult but after taking just 5 minutes to do my makeup I feel so much better.
Thanks so much to Taylor for taking over the blog with this post and giving all you a quick efficient makeup routine. We love efficiency over here, so cannot thank her enough for coming on the blog to make it happen!

I’m so impressed with this, honestly. I’m not even a mom and I still find myself not wanting to do a full face routine most days. But I’m feeling inspired to try mixing up my products in the future. I love the mascara choice!
Great makeup! I love that you can do natural looking makeup so quickl!
