Best of Beauty 2015

Now that we’ve come to the end of December, it’s time for me to share my favorite beauty bits from the entire year. It was really hard to pair it down to these, but these are definitely the winners from the year.

The eyeshadows were the easiest to pick, surprisingly. I am so impressed with Buxom shadows this year, as their formulation is truly incredible. I would say they’re even better than the Lorac palette, but the Lorac PRO palette is such a ride or die. It’s compact and easy to travel with and it provides all the colors you could need for a day or night look.

Blush has always been a favorite of mine and these two have been the most reached for month after month. Urban Decay came out with their afterglow eight hour collection and this is the shade ‘Obsessed’ while Illamasqua has a beautiful ‘Naked Rose’ blush that’s really subtle and pretty.

Highlighter became my favorite makeup product throughout the year. More specifically the most talked about product in the beauty world this year was Champagne Pop from Becca Cosmetics. Mine broke from all of the travel, and I can’t seem to get it back together (none of the hacks worked because it was shattered into a million pieces) but I use this regularly and will need to restock without a doubt

Quite possibly the greatest foundation of all time (at least for me) was the L’Oreal infallible pro matte foundation in the shade shell beige. I have normal skin, and this is definitely a great foundation for someone who gets a bit shiny throughout the day or really wants a matte finish. My favorite primer was the Hourglass veil mineral primer as that is the best priming and makeup setting product I’ve ever used. If you take anything away from this post, it would be that you must have a try of this primer. It makes your skin so smooth and creates the perfect base for makeup. This year’s stand up concealer was the Urban Decay naked skin concealer as there’s nothing quite like this concealer out on the market. You need a tiny bit of product, and it will cover up everything so easily. Kudos to Urban Decay for coming out with some truly incredible products this year.

My favorite perfume was the Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb because it’s just such an amazing scent. It’s sensual, a bit sexy, and smells so alluring.

Last, but certainly not least, I picked my top three lip colors. The Urban Decay lipgloss was my most worn throughout the year. It’s easy to throw on, lasts for hours and just looks good on the lips. Best lipgloss formulation hands down *bowing to Urban Decay* The Sephora creme lip stain in the shade ’01 Always Red’ is and has been my favorite red lip. The last one is a surprise for me, but comes from Anastasia Beverly Hills and is the shade ‘Craft’. It’s a beautiful dark berry shade that makes my teeth look so white. Truly a lovely color and perfect for this time of year!

Have you had a chance to pick any of these up just yet? Thanks for the lovely comment, I do spend quite a bit of time taking the photos and aligning everything. It reminds me of that Instagram husband video because it’s so true. My boyfriend can’t eat anything until I’ve taken a picture of it looking perfect and shiny! You know how it goes πŸ˜‰ xx

Me too, I’m really excited for all of the new products that are bound to come our way. I just hope my wallet is too! xx

So many great picks, I agree, Lorac Pro palette is definitely a ride or die!
The L’Oreal foundation made my top 15 of 2015 as well, wow it’s amazing!

I’m so glad we agree on two of my most favorite ride or die products. The L’Oreal foundation AND Lorac. You have excellent taste! xx

I think the same thing when I’m looking through other blogs. All I want to do is buy EVERYTHING I see, but then I realize I’m not a millionaire and can’t afford all of it *sighs* but I “need” it all! xx

The Naked palettes are the best palettes UD does and I really believe those shadows are the most pigmented and worth the money in the brand so you’ve tried the best! xx

Of course, thank you for reading! You will love the pigmentation on the Becca highlighter because it’s absolutely incredible. Have you had a chance to pick one up yet? xx

I honestly feel the same way about all of the lovely blogs I browse through day in and day out. There’s so much beautiful makeup out there, and I just NEEEEED to have a go at all of it! xx

So many Great products! I really want to try the L’Oreal infallible pro matte foundation! come to my country this year Urban Decay brand, so several of my favorites this year they are of this brand! 😊 (Foundation, Concealer, lipstick And shadows)

I’m so glad you were and are able to experience Urban Decay as they are definitely one of my favorite cosmetic brands. They’re edgy, colorful but still offer excellent products for the every day girl so they’re always on the top of my list! xx

I’m so glad, as I really tried to pick the BEST of the best from this year’s makeup roundup. There’s been a lot of products that just did it for me and I’ve loved trying things from so many different brands. I’m so glad you understand my obsession for the Hourglass primer…that shiz is the BOMB dot com! xx

Thanks for nominating me, but the award doesn’t qualify for me. I appreciate you stopping by & commenting and do hope you stick around! xx

Thanks so much for stopping by & glad you think so. I definitely wanted to pick my best of the best! xx

I’m glad because I have picked my best of the best for 2015, and trust me when I say I have way too much makeup! It’s actually ridiculous πŸ˜‰ xx

Thank you so much for the kind comment as that is so incredibly sweet. So sorry I’m just getting to your comment now, but it’s been crazy hectic with the Mexico trip and now packing for the next one. I appreciate your comments! xx

i would love to try that primer. this year i discovered boots no 7 face lotion and i love it.
thanks,
b

I love the no 7 face lotions! I discovered them about two years ago and use the day and night creams from the range normal to dry (I think) but I used to use the normal to oily one too. Affordable skincare, and it works like a charm and didn’t ever break out my skin which was nice! xx

I enjoy dark lips too. The bolder the lip, the bolder the experience πŸ˜‰ I just made up that phrase while writing this reply to your comment haha! xx

So glad you agree with me on the palette because it truly is so incredible! xx

My favorites were definitely the Urban Decay Smoky palette, the Maybelline Fit Me matte + poreless foundation and concealer, and the Too Faced Love Flush Long-Lasting 16-Hour blush in “How Deep Is Your Love”! The foundation and concealer were recent addictions but they are the most full coverage and mattifying products I’ve found that were drugstore and affordable! I didn’t think the L’Oreal Infalliable Pro-Matte was as full coverage as I wanted πŸ™ and it was more dewy on me than matte!

I have had the Naked Smoky palette, but I’m not the most likely to smoke out my eyes so it hasn’t been my most used palette unfortunately. I haven’t even heard of the blush, but I love the name because that song by Calvin Harris is amazing πŸ˜‰ I tried the Fit Me matte and I don’t recall why it didn’t stick for me, but I think I just moved on from the foundation to try other things. Usually when I move on to continue testing others, I don’t come back unless it was really good and I don’t remember my distinct reaction about that foundation so I’ll have to give it another go. You’ve intrigued me to pick it up πŸ˜‰ xx

I’m so glad you like the Lorac shadow palette as it’s so incredible! The pigmentation is unreal & the UD blushes are by far some of the best in the game! xx

Which eye palette attracted your eye a bit more? Was it the Lorac or the Buxon? They’re both so unbelievably good, but I’m curious to know which of the two you’re referring to! xx

Those lippies are definitely awesome and I enjoy their matte effect. They’re so long-lasting, and don’t feel uncomfortable on the lips so I definitely agree with your love for them! xx

This is true. There is never “enough” makeup because you have to try it all… ya feel me πŸ˜‰ xx

I think the Becca highlighter will be a loved product this year & every year moving forward. Becca really knows how to work the highlighter, without a doubt. Their pigmentation is just so fantastic and the color options are fabulous! xx

My favorite products of 2015: the chocolate bar by too faced, and the porefessional πŸ™‚ !

My makeup favorites of 2015 are Benefit’s Roller Lash mascara, IT Cosmetics Bye Bye UnderEye concealer & UD Smoky Palette!
