Now that we’ve come to the end of December, it’s time for me to share my favorite beauty bits from the entire year. It was really hard to pair it down to these, but these are definitely the winners from the year.
The eyeshadows were the easiest to pick, surprisingly. I am so impressed with Buxom shadows this year, as their formulation is truly incredible. I would say they’re even better than the Lorac palette, but the Lorac PRO palette is such a ride or die. It’s compact and easy to travel with and it provides all the colors you could need for a day or night look.
Blush has always been a favorite of mine and these two have been the most reached for month after month. Urban Decay came out with their afterglow eight hour collection and this is the shade ‘Obsessed’ while Illamasqua has a beautiful ‘Naked Rose’ blush that’s really subtle and pretty.
Highlighter became my favorite makeup product throughout the year. More specifically the most talked about product in the beauty world this year was Champagne Pop from Becca Cosmetics. Mine broke from all of the travel, and I can’t seem to get it back together (none of the hacks worked because it was shattered into a million pieces) but I use this regularly and will need to restock without a doubt.
Quite possibly the greatest foundation of all time (at least for me) was the L’Oreal infallible pro matte foundation in the shade shell beige. I have normal skin, and this is definitely a great foundation for someone who gets a bit shiny throughout the day or really wants a matte finish. My favorite primer was the Hourglass veil mineral primer as that is the best priming and makeup setting product I’ve ever used. If you take anything away from this post, it would be that you must have a try of this primer. It makes your skin so smooth and creates the perfect base for makeup. This year’s stand up concealer was the Urban Decay naked skin concealer as there’s nothing quite like this concealer out on the market. You need a tiny bit of product, and it will cover up everything so easily. Kudos to Urban Decay for coming out with some truly incredible products this year.
My favorite perfume was the Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb because it’s just such an amazing scent. It’s sensual, a bit sexy, and smells so alluring.
Last, but certainly not least, I picked my top three lip colors. The Urban Decay lipgloss was my most worn throughout the year. It’s easy to throw on, lasts for hours and just looks good on the lips. Best lipgloss formulation hands down *bowing to Urban Decay* The Sephora creme lip stain in the shade ’01 Always Red’ is and has been my favorite red lip. The last one is a surprise for me, but comes from Anastasia Beverly Hills and is the shade ‘Craft’. It’s a beautiful dark berry shade that makes my teeth look so white. Truly a lovely color and perfect for this time of year!

Thank you so much for the kind comment as that is so incredibly sweet. So sorry I’m just getting to your comment now, but it’s been crazy hectic with the Mexico trip and now packing for the next one. I appreciate your comments! xx
It’s ok! Going to Mexico?! Omg, that’s one of my top places to visit! Enjoy!!! xx
i would love to try that primer. this year i discovered boots no 7 face lotion and i love it.
thanks,
b
I love the no 7 face lotions! I discovered them about two years ago and use the day and night creams from the range normal to dry (I think) but I used to use the normal to oily one too. Affordable skincare, and it works like a charm and didn’t ever break out my skin which was nice! xx
What a great roundup! I hardly wear any makeup but I always do a dark lip and need to check out that lip stain.
xo, Jessica || The Petite Diaries
I enjoy dark lips too. The bolder the lip, the bolder the experience 😉 I just made up that phrase while writing this reply to your comment haha! xx
What a wonderful 2015 collection. I especially love the Lorac Pro Palette and I seriously thinks it’s one of the best palette. Thanks for sharing and happy new year!
Stephanie | http://www.stephykeung.com
So glad you agree with me on the palette because it truly is so incredible! xx
My favorites were definitely the Urban Decay Smoky palette, the Maybelline Fit Me matte + poreless foundation and concealer, and the Too Faced Love Flush Long-Lasting 16-Hour blush in “How Deep Is Your Love”! The foundation and concealer were recent addictions but they are the most full coverage and mattifying products I’ve found that were drugstore and affordable! I didn’t think the L’Oreal Infalliable Pro-Matte was as full coverage as I wanted 🙁 and it was more dewy on me than matte!
I have had the Naked Smoky palette, but I’m not the most likely to smoke out my eyes so it hasn’t been my most used palette unfortunately. I haven’t even heard of the blush, but I love the name because that song by Calvin Harris is amazing 😉 I tried the Fit Me matte and I don’t recall why it didn’t stick for me, but I think I just moved on from the foundation to try other things. Usually when I move on to continue testing others, I don’t come back unless it was really good and I don’t remember my distinct reaction about that foundation so I’ll have to give it another go. You’ve intrigued me to pick it up 😉 xx
Looks so great!

Which eye palette attracted your eye a bit more? Was it the Lorac or the Buxon? They’re both so unbelievably good, but I’m curious to know which of the two you’re referring to! xx
Love the Too Faced melted lipsticks 🙂
Those lippies are definitely awesome and I enjoy their matte effect. They’re so long-lasting, and don’t feel uncomfortable on the lips so I definitely agree with your love for them! xx
So many pretty things – we can never have enough:)

I think the Becca highlighter will be a loved product this year & every year moving forward. Becca really knows how to work the highlighter, without a doubt. Their pigmentation is just so fantastic and the color options are fabulous! xx
