My Top Product Recommendations from Credo Beauty
Most of my friends and family have asked me "what the f*%$K is Credo!?" Fair enough as it's a smaller more boutique shopping experience. Basically think of Sephora and Ulta and how massive they are. Also think of all the chemicals in the majority of the brands. Cue in Credo which is the Sephora to clean beauty brands, in my opinion. While they're doing a 20% off friends and family sale (October 20-24th) so here's a few of my favorite products from their site + what I'm buying!
First a little background. Something I have mentioned time and time again on Instagram surrounds the fact that Europe has banned substantially more ingredients in their cosmetics industry than we have in the US. To be specific, Europe's banned over 1300 ingredients. And the US? About 30. Embarrassing right? Well Credo takes it a step further and has banned over 2700.
You can download a PDF with all the ingredients outlined, and learn more about their protocol but it's essentially a wonderful destination for all the clean beauty your heart desires.
My Favorites at Credo
OSEA Undaria Algae Body Oil While this is still *new* to me, it is one of the most incredible oils I've ever used. And trust me when I say I used everything I could get my hands on during pregnancy, and now I'm sad I wasn't able to rub this all over my belly.
Exa High Fidelity Foundation Medium to high coverage and easily buildable. When I used this for the first time, I was blown away that a *clean* foundation could be so effective. Not to mention it's long-lasting.
Kosas Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer Clean with high coverage seems to be what I'm always striving for, so of course this concealer is one of my faves. It's creamy, with an excellent range of colors for so many skin tones.
Wildling Empress Stone Over the last few years, it seems like Gua Sha has blown up. But it's been around for a very long time. After getting all sorts of high and low quality Gua Sha tools, I can honestly say this one is the best one on the market.
Tower 28 SunnyDays Tinted SPF Sunscreen Foundation Another foundation that surprised me given how lightweight it is + the addition of sunscreen. We love a good multitasker. Even though it's got some sunscreen in it, make sure to always apply an additional sunscreen or reapply sunscreen throughout the day (especially if you're going to be outside.) For me, this Tower 28 formulation has skincare vibes to me and keeps the skin nice and hydrated throughout the day.
Kosas Revealer Skin Improving Foundation SPF 25 Coverage similar to the Exa foundation, meaning it's good. Really good. Again with the benefit of a little sunscreen, but make sure to reapply (I'm so adamant about sun protection it's annoying I know.)
GOOP GOOPGLOW Microderm Instant Glow Body Polish Another new item to my beauty routine, but it is good. I now understand why people have been obsessing over this scrub. It's not as good as C & the Moon but it's unique and refreshing in a different way.
Maison Louis Marie No.04 Bois de Balincourt Eau de Parfum And finally my favorite unnecessary but totally necessary product, a clean perfume. Whenever I wear this, I get so many compliments it's unreal. The cool thing about this is that it smells different on everyone because it blends with your body's microbiome and makes a unique musk. I finished my first bottle of it, and already had a second one on deck. I'll be snagging a third bottle during this sale because I like getting it for 20% off.
What I'm Buying
Westman Atelier Lip Suede Les Nudes I've had this on my list for months, but it's been sold out every time I've tried to snag it that I honestly forgot about it until I saw it browsing Credo.
Kaia Naturals The Underarm Bar Because I'm a switch b*tch, I am always looking for new deodorants and ways to reduce the smell. With that said, I saw this underarm bar as a great way to cleanse the armpits and start fresh.
Olio E Osso Tinted Balms I've seen these discussed over and over on social, so I added one to my cart to see what the hype is about, ok?
RÓEN BEAUTY 75° Warm Eye Shadow Palette I love a warm eyeshadow palette. Honestly cannot resist, even when I apply eyeshadow exactly once or twice a month. A girl's got to swatch all the palettes, am I right? Even if she doesn't use them consistently.
Westman Atelier Vital Skincare Complexion Drops Another one I've seen a few ladies mention on social, and I'm intrigued. I've definitely been reaching for lower coverage, more skincare based tints and drops which is why this looks like it's right up my alley.
