Playa del Carmen | Cancun Travel Diaries

During our stay in the Cancun area, we packed our backpacks and headed to explore Playa del Carmen.

Truthfully, we went to have a pretty chill day. That’s why I don’t have much footage or photos from the day. We wanted to relax, eat some lunch on the beach and do some shopping. We managed to find some seats at Wah Wah Beach Bar, which was a nice experience. We ordered buckets of beer, chips and salsa and even ceviche. It was really nice sitting on the beach, enjoying the sun and chowing down on some tacos.

After we ate, we decided to walk through the streets and do some shopping. There were so many shops, and you could honestly find anything. There were local shops and even Americanized shops. You name it, they had it. One thing to note is that Playa del Carmen was definitely the most crowded beach we visited so I wouldn’t recommend going there for the beach, especially on a weekend. According to the locals, it’s much calmer during the week but Playa del Carmen has definitely become a popular destination to visitors coming to the Cancun area.

We even stumbled upon some ruins, which I thought were really neat.

This tropical weather has seriously got me dreaming, it’s beyond cold over here and I’m so tempted to just fly off to some warmer climate and stay there forever haha! I agree by the way, ruins can be so much fun to see/explore 🙂

My fiancé and I are planning on having our honeymoon in Playa del Carmen. We are so excited, but I was kinda worried since we will be getting married in March next year and I really don’t want to deal with all of the spring breakers. But I heard there are only a little bit of them there and they are mostly congregating in Cancun. I’m really excited to be eating the food, swimming in the beaches and cenotes, and going to Chichen Itza!

Sounds great, as soon I will be there with my family for have a trip so I am excited. After watching these videos my excitement increased so far. However overall completed all arrangements including booking private vehicle from transport company like “Nasttransfers”. Hope our trip will be best.

I hope you have an incredible time with your family. It’s a great place to vacation & quite affordable. Make sure you barter with the locals or they’ll try to rip you off!

This looks so dreamy! I will officially get nothing done for the rest of the day after looking over these pictures. Shawn and I just finalized our trip to Mexico for the end of February and I am counting the days So glad you had a great time!
