The Basics of Skincare Ft. Koope

June 22, 2023

This post is in collaboration with and sponsored by Koope. All opinions remain honest and my own.

When we think of skincare, we think of two major tasks. Cleansing and moisturizing right? Koope has completely nailed it with their business plan because everyone needs one of each. You need a cleanser, and you need a moisturizer. Skincare doesn’t get more basic than that.

While I revel over a 10+ step skincare routine, it is not for the faint of heart. It’s also not for those who are on the go, and have little to no time for themselves. I love all my lotions and potions, but I also love to keep it simple. It’s important to find a nice happy medium. Koope keeps it simple. They offer 2 cleansers, one gel and one milk. And three moisturizers ranging in weight on the skin. You’ve got lightweight, middleweight and heavyweight.

What’s so special about Koope you ask?

2 Cleansers. 3 Moisturizers.

Truly clean

Truly clean formulas free from over 1,400 toxic ingredients banned in Europe. Their entire line is also free from common sensitizers, so this is the perfect line for sensitive skin too.

They also exclude fragrances, sulfates, sls/sles, parabens, formaldehyde, soaps, silicones, phthalates and 39 common sensitizers. We love a clean skincare product.

In terms of some key ingredients that are included in their 5 product line-up, you can find any of the following:

Ceramides, Hyalyronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Peptides, Niacinamide, Prebiotics Baobab Oil, Squalene, Vitamins A,C,E and F, Centella, Oat Amino Acid, Rosemary Extract, Olive Glycerides, Aloe Vera, Apricot Kernel Oil, Grape Seed Oil, various antioxidants.

Each product has a minimum of 5 active ingredients. For a complete list of ingredients (and a dictionary on the ingredients themselves) you can visit this page. I just love the transparency and education they provide.

They donate $1 per tube sold to anti-sex trafficking organizations and support independent artists by licensing their work on the packaging 3 times a year. This is why their packaging is always so fun, and looks so colorful.

My breakdown of the line:

Lightweight moisturizer and the milk cleanser were the most perfect combo for me after each of my Morpheus treatments. My dermatologist said to use the simplest and most gentle cleanser and moisturizer for 7 days following treatment.

When it comes to my skin on a day to day basis, the middleweight moisturizer is perfection. Since my skin tends to be more combo (in general) it’s the perfect consistency long-term. I’ve been reaching for the gel cleanser a lot lately as my second cleanse at night, after a cleansing balm or oil to break apart the makeup first.

And finally, the heavyweight moisturizer is going to come in handy on days my skin gets extremely dry this summer from the desert heat. Not to mention in the winter when it’s really cold too. It’s the perfect moisturizer for those changing climates (and post travel).

I wanted to get Koope into your hands, so they’ve kindly said yes to giving 10 of you a FREE cleanser AND moisturizer with NO STRINGS ATTACHED! You don’t have to pay for shipping, you don’t have to purchase anything, you just get a free cleanser + moisturizer. I got you!
