Trending Summer Skincare

I am doing my daily skincare routine, using trending skincare summer products.

Trending Summer Skincare

May 17, 2018

This post is in collaboration with and sponsored by Sephora inside JCPenney #SephoraInJCP

If you know anything about me, you know that I'm a skincare junkie. Skincare is one of my favorite passions and something I take seriously. I recently saw a hilarious meme that said "I do my full skincare routine sober or drunk. Not everyone is as talented as me" This is seriously so true for me, and I do not remember the last time I went to bed without doing the whole regimen.

After testing these three products for a weeks straight, I saw a lot of improvements with my skin. The best trend right now is to have hydrated, healthy skin. When you hydrate well, it is going to make you look youthful and healthy, not to mention your skin will take you for the vitamin C and extra boost of hydration. Dull and dry skin is common over summer, so let's beat that!

Algenist GENIUS Liquid Collagen

This liquid collagen is perfect for livening up the skin, and maintaining that youthful glow. Vegan and very lightweight, so it can easily be applied under makeup or at night.

I'm 27 now, and I want my skin to look as it did 5 years ago, for as long as possible. If you have loss of firmness, elasticity or you experience dullness and uneven texture, liquid collagen is the best way to help boost your skin. Knowing the biggest questions will be what kind of skin type is this best for, it is perfect for all skin types.

The consistency is on the thinner side, which helps for this to absorb into the skin quickly.

Ole Henriksen C-Rush Brightening Gel Cream

After a late night (meeting a deadline or having a good time with friends or just desert life) our skin is not happy.

This brightening, vitamin C-rich gel cream hydrates skin for up to 24 hours, which is desperately needed in the heat, travel and skin that needs some vitamin C.

Now only is it hydrating, but it helps firm the skin while targeting pesky lines and wrinkles. I've seen beautiful illumination that brings my skin back to life. Not to mention this is a serious boost for improving elasticity.

I am applying the under eye cream from Sunday Riley.

Sunday Riley Auto Correct Brightening and Depuffing Eye Contour Cream

When it comes to skincare, I absolutely adore eye creams. The area under our eyes (as well as the neck) shows signs of aging first. This is why it's so important to use a cream specific for this sensitive area. We use hand cream because it's more targeted for hands, then it is for the face. Applying the standard moisturizer may be heavy for the under eye area, so this is why I love targeted products.

Whether my eyes are puffy or I have dark circles, this eye cream helps to combat this. Over time, this cream will also reduce the appearance of dark circles and fine lines. The formulation is lightweight, and I have been rocking this under makeup, since foundation applies seamlessly on top. I've seen a noticeable difference after using this eye cream over time. Not to mention Sunday Riley is one of the best skincare brands I've ever tried. The higher price tag is 150% worth it!

When it comes to new skincare, I love testing the waters and deciding which new releases are best for my sensitive skin. Over time, I've come to realize it's easier to get shopping down online or as I'm walking through the mall. Sephora inside JCPenney is the best source because usually the items that may be sold out at your standard Sephora, are in stock at the Sephora inside JCPenney. I've experienced that twice, and loved hopping to JCPenney to get the skincare I needed.

What's your favorite skincare item? Have you tried any of these?

I have not tried those products. I am too lazy to use skin care products. I know I have to, but I’m so lazy. I really have to start using and take better car of my skin.

I’m having a moment with Vitamin C lately and that gel cream looks like it would make its way to my shelf soon! I love brightening products! 💖

Ole Henriksen C-Rush Brightening Gel Cream sounds like a great product! I definitely needs a product that can help to brighten and hydrate my skin. 🙂

First of all, I love the pictures! Second, all of these products sound amazing! I really need to look more into skincare for myself.

It’s important to update your skin care routine for the summer! I really appreciate you sharing these products. I’m sure they’ll work wonders for my skin!

great post. I love brightening creams/gels. i have never tried these brands before. I usually stick to the regular drugstore brands but i may definitely look into the gel cream.

I’d like to try the liquid collagen. I’m currently not on a skincare regimen for the first time in ages. I’m looking for the least amount of products I can use because I’m just so busy all the time. I’ve always had 4 to 5 products in my skincare routine but trying to get down to 2 if possible. Maybe wishful thinking lol.
