What’s in my Travel Makeup Bag?

Packing a small amount of makeup is difficult…especially for a beauty addict like myself.

What's in my Travel Makeup Bag?, What's in my Travel Makeup Bag, Travel Makeup Bag, Estée Lauder, Becca, Champagne Pop, Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop highlighter, Revlon, Tarte, Tarte Cosmetics, Anastasia Beverly Hills, ABH Cosmetics, Amazonian Clay Brow Mousse, MAC, MAC Cosmetics, Makeup Forever, Makeup Forever HD Foundation, Urban Decay, All Nighter Setting Spray, Too Faced Eyeshadow Primer Potion, Too Faced, World Traveler Palette, Simple Beauty Minerals, Lip Lac & Q, Lip Lac and Q, Milani, Bare Minerals, makeup to take when traveling, travel makeup, what makeup to take when traveling

Now… prep your tea, coffee, wine…whatever beverage you’re feeling right now because  this is one of my longer posts. I mean it’s exponentially important to have options when you’re traveling!

Let’s start with my excessive amount of lip products. SIX to
be exact. This Bare Minerals lip-gloss is my favorite lip product to throw on
when I’m feeling casual and want a little shine on the
lippie lips. Another lovely natural lip-gloss is the Simple Beauty Minerals gloss as it’s creamy and covers the lips nicely on just the first
swipe. The Lip Lac and Q pencil is perfect for
a beautiful, natural pink shine to the lips. I have been crazy over Revlon’s lip lustrous line so I’ve been carrying at least one (if not two) lipsticks from the range. Finally, if I’m feeling extra daring and
want to call attention to my lips (and I’ve exfoliated them thoroughly) I like
to rock a Milani matte lipstick. When I
posted this lipstick ‘Orchid’ on my Instagram, it seemed like everyone was all about this shade. Another bold option I’ve been rocking is the new ‘Carnal’ Estée Lauder lipstick. It’s perfect for all seasons.

Now I suppose the rest of the products will come as no
surprise. I have been 100%
obsessing over the Anastasia Beverly Hills World Traveler palette and you know
it based on my recent palette round-up here. Remember that I have combination skin and I always want to set the crap
out of my makeup so when I see myself in a mirror a few hours later, my face
hasn’t eaten all the foundation, blush, eyeshadow, etc. That’s why I always have some type of setting
spray and my Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray is the best setting spray
when it comes to travel. I also really love the Too Faced Eyeshadow Primer
Potion because it’s particularly excellent at keeping the shadow on my oily
lids.

For travel where I know lots of photos will be taken and I’ll
be vlogging, I want to make my skin look as flawless as it can and that’s why
I usually travel with Makeup Forever HD foundation because my skin is the closest to
flawless with this as the base. I also like to use the Urban Decay Naked
Concealer to cover the dark circles and uneven skin tone throughout my face. To complete my natural look each day, I have been using the MAC ‘Weekend Getaway’ lip and cheek color almost every single day. Some days I even use it on my lippie lips which makes my makeup application even easier. Using one product for more than one cause is so handy!

When it comes to brows, you know I’ve loved the Tarte
Amazonian Clay Brow Mousse for several years. My brows look natural,
flawless and so much nicer specifically when I use this to fill in the brows.
Much more so than when I use any pencil or product to be quite frank. Then I
like to polish off the brows with the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow gel. If you follow me on Snapchat (add ‘Adaleta‘) you know that I bought three of these brow gels this past weekend because they were $11 at Ulta. Did I need more of a reason that 50% off? 😉

Everyone and their mothers…and grandmothers…and great
grandmothers have talked about Jaclyn Hill’s new collaboration product, which is a Becca highlighter called ‘Champagne Pop.’ It gives you the most incredible
highlight that makes it look like you’re glowing from within.

Some new acquisitions that I raved about separately here
are my newest Estée Lauder products. This
includes the Little Black Liner, which is phenomenal and allows you to apply
the liner in three different ways.  To top off the liner, the mascara gets the job done easily.

Moral of the story is I like to travel with my ride or die product because let’s be honest, when I’m traveling and in a new city and hotel, I don’t have time to mess around!

Thanks for the kind words! I used to have 5+ cosmetic bags filled with products when I traveled and I actually found it made my time to get ready in the morning EVEN longer because not only was I in a hotel room, in a new city, etc. I also couldn’t decide what products to use each morning so I found myself either rushing through the end of getting ready (aka hair or outfit) or just being plain late in some instances which is not cool when it’s a professional and corporate trip. I found it so much easier to whip through the makeup when I had one of each and knew exactly what products I was going to use. Also, makes it easier to pack, unpack in the hotel, repack and unpack at home 😉 xx

Lip products are definitely my weakness too! It’s hard to pick a handful of beauty products to travel with when there are just so many “essentials” lol!

You’d love the clear brown gel because it is just phenomenal. I love some Laura Mercier as well, and have one of the newest highlighters from her collection (almost blushes, shadows, etc.) Great brand and I definitely need to include more from them in my reviews! Thanks for the reminder of that! 🙂 xx

Shoes are much harder to find space for, than cosmetics & skincare so you have it a lot tougher than me. I can barely even fit two pairs of shoes after I’ve put my outfits AND makeup 😉 xx

Love that Simple Beauty Minerals (our small indie woman owned business) got a mention amongst all the big guys in the beauty world! It looks like our shade ‘Mauvelous Mineral Lip Gloss’ is in the mix. A great choice for traveling, natural and great for your lips. An easy travel day look. Thanks so much Ada!

It’s very creamy, has long-lasting stay power and is the perfect easy thrown on gloss particularly for the winter time because of it’s brown and deeper pink undertones. It’s also quite compact which makes it easy for travel & adding it to all the lippies 😉 xx

I LOVE this bare minerals lip gloss, I have two different shades and they’re the perfect gloss that isn’t over the top and isn’t sticky, thats literally the worst! I’ve been using bare minerals foundation and I love it but now that I hear you say that the Make Up forever HD foundation gives you a flawless look then I’m kind of thinking I want to switch and try it! I need to try this brow gel, I just recently started filling in my eyebrows….I don’t know why it’s taken me so long but it has. My eyebrows are kind of thin towards the ends of them, like in pictures it looks like I only have half brow sometimes. ha. Thanks for sharing all your goodies!!!

It’s so amazing to me that I literally just bought three of them from Ulta two weeks ago because they were part of the 21 days of beauty here in Arizona/US. It was 50% off so I got the last three and didn’t even flinch at $11 X 3 because that shiz is the bomb dot com! The World Traveller palette has been amazing too and I didn’t even know how amazing the quality was with their shadows! xx
