About Rachel Behm:
With almost a decade at Johnson & Johnson, Rachel Behm has made a career of strategically growing beauty brands including Aveeno, Neutrogena, Lubriderm, and Clean & Clear. She most recently had set up and led the Johnson & Johnson Beauty Incubator, which served as a launchpad for her to join Ignite Venture Studio, a new company founded by CPG veterans as an accelerator of new and existing brands.
Rachel grew up in Minnesota spending more time in nature and playing sports than worrying about my skin routine. But her love of wellness, science, and brand-building drew her to a career in skin health where she’s led skin care innovation from NY to LA. She created Layers to honor the interconnectedness of our body’s systems and our skin’s natural ability to optimize its own health – rooted in our gut and skin microbiome. Like the soil in our farmland needs to be balanced and nourished for crops to grow, our gut and skin bacteria need to be diverse, balanced, and flourishing to keep our bodies and our skin at their healthiest.
